Zero-Carbon Recycling at ITACA

The recycling process at İTACA utilizes advanced pyrolysis technology to transform plastic and tyre waste into valuable resources like pyrolytic oil, carbon black, and energy, with zero harmful emissions. Here’s a brief overview:

  1. Material Preparation: Plastic and tyre waste is shredded into granules or chips and fed into the reactor.
  2. Pyrolysis: Granules are heated to 300–350°C in an oxygen-free environment, separating hydrocarbon vapor and carbon black.
  3. Filtration: Vapor passes through filters and scrubbers to ensure environmental safety.
  4. Condensation: Hydrocarbon vapor is condensed into pyrolytic oil and stored.
  5. Distillation: Pyrolytic oil is refined into gasoline, diesel, and burner fuel.
  6. Carbon Black: Recovered carbon black is repurposed for industrial use.
  7. Energy Generation: Diesel fuels generators, and residual heat and gases are reused.
  8. Environmental Safety: A closed-cycle system ensures no harmful emissions, supported by advanced automation for safety.

This sustainable process aligns with İTACA’s commitment to a circular economy and a carbon-neutral future.
